Becoming Successful

October 2009

Here is another monthly overview. I will keep this one a little shorter than the previous ones, but basically here is the deal for the month. We see a dip forming in the graph, which is composed of 2 things. First, I am slightly less happy than I was before. My lower back injury is providing more of a pain in the ass so to speak than I had hoped. Second, my costs were a little higher than last month.

Finally, our project has been extended, which is both good and bad. It is good because it means more income, it is bad because it was done just 1 week before going live. This was hard for the development team who have put ALL their effort into delivering a great application. And it wasn’t their fault either. Anyway, this impacted my happiness big time last month!

All in all I think that I am on the right track and that in the end we’ll see a graph that is steadily moving upward. Because a monthly time interval is short and a lot of things happen, there will generally be ups and downs on the graph. However, I still think monthly intervals are good, because the events are fresh in memory and because my accounting is done per month as well.
