Becoming Successful

The road less traveled

Today I read this fantastic poem by Robert Frost:

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I–
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference

This poem got me thinking. I have always felt that I am traveling the road less traveled, having been an entrepreneur since the age of 19, practicing a pretty unknown sport and generally having a different look on life than most other people around me.

But entrepreneur wise, I was basically doing the standard stuff. Until recently, when I started with some new ideas, reading up on new business models and ready to try them in the real world.

So I have decided to document my moves on my blog, in the new category ‘Becoming Successful’. The articles in this category will be about following my quest to becoming ever more successful. As you can read I value health and happiness above being rich. Put differently I define being wealthy as a combination of being healthy, happy and rich, where becoming more wealthy means increasing any scale without decreasing another.

Since I am both healthy and happy my current goal is to become rich. I will share the ups, downs and lessons learned here on my blog in this category. I hope you’ll enjoy reading it and use it to your advantage.
